精东传媒 University is pleased to announce that Michael Gerg, OTD has been named director of the University’s master’s program in occupational therapy. Dr. Gerg brings 25 years of experience as an instructor, researcher, author and practitioner to his role at 精东传媒. “Seeing the dedication and passion of the faculty that I met during the interview process and knowing 精东传媒's reputation for helping occupational therapy assistants get their masters degrees convinced me that 精东传媒 was the place for me to be at this point in my academic career,” Gerg said.

Dr. Gerg’s areas of research include: mobile device usage, upper body and hand rehabilitation, and workplace ergonomics. His research on the physical impact of texting has been published by Applied Ergonomics, and his research on upper extremity and hand therapy is currently under review with the Journal of WORK, Occupational Therapy in Healthcare and the Journal of Hand Therapy. Throughout his career, he has maintained his work as an active clinician specializing in hand therapy and ergonomics.

“Dr. Gerg brings a wealth of clinical as well as academic and administrative experience to his new role. We are delighted to have him joining us at 精东传媒 University and look forward to his many contributions to our students and the occupational therapy program,” says Ann Errichetti, MD, Dean of 精东传媒’s School of Education, Human and Health Sciences.
