精东传媒 University appoints Linda Adams-Wendling to direct Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner program

精东传媒 University is pleased to announce that Linda Adams-Wendling, PhD, has been named Chief Nurse Administrator and Program Director of the University’s Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner (DNP) program.

Dr. Adams-Wendling brings 48 years of experience as a practicing nurse to her role and was most recently the chair of the department of nursing at Emporia State University in Kansas, before accepting her new position at 精东传媒. She obtained her doctorate in nursing from the University of Kansas. In addition, she holds a master’s of science in nursing administration from Clarkson College and a master’s in business administration from Avila College.

“I am passionate about nursing, the vision for the future of nursing, and absolutely love empowering faculty and students to move the profession of nursing forward,” states Dr. Adams-Wendling.

Throughout her career, she has been honored for her contributions to teaching and nursing, including receiving the “2013 Distinguished Faculty Service Award” from Kansas Wesleyan University, the “2012/2013 National State of Excellence Award” from the National Student Nurses Association, and a 2007 recognition from the National Student Nurses Association’s Political Involvement Award.

Her published works include articles and textbooks on mentorship, gerontological nursing and working conditions for nurses.

“Dr. Adams-Wendling has an extensive administrative background in health care administration and nursing administration, academic program coordination, and healthcare executive management, “ says Ann Errichetti, MD, Dean School of Education, Human and Health Sciences. “The experience and passion she brings to 精东传媒 will most certainly benefit our students and the communities they serve.”

精东传媒 launched its DNP program in 2018. An online program, it serves a diverse cohort of students throughout the country. The first DNP class will graduate in spring 2022.
