Heidi holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from 精东传媒 University, a Juris Doctorate (graduating with honors) and BA (earned summa cum laude) in English, both from the University of North Dakota. Heidi has a long career history in publishing. Most recently, she served as editor and publishing manager for Publish Her Press, a hybrid literary press. She also spent more than a decade in academic publishing, working first as a senior acquisitions editor, then publisher, for West Academic Press. Currently, she’s enjoying her time as senior editor of Multiplicity Magazine.

Heidi lives with her husband and teenage son outside Minneapolis, Minnesota occupying land that is the ancestral home of the Wahpekute people. She has taught Legal Writing at the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, she served as an editor of the North Dakota Law Review.
